Providing Personal Assistance Services to the Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled.
Personal Assistance
Personal Assistance services are offered through Skills Development Services in all counties. These are “in-home” services where trained staff come to an individual’s home to assist family and caregivers with personal hygiene, dressing, home training, respite and other assistance as needed. This service is approved by the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities also and may be approved for a specific number of units per month or week.
